Why Bluewater

I am a :

A Bluewater system not only avoids the polluting discharge that is the end product of a septic tank, it also offers the greenest wastewater treatment technology currently available for a fraction of the cost of many competitor systems. There are generally three reasons homeowners choose a Bluewater over septic installations:
  • If you simply want to have a clean wastewater treatment system on your lot and there is no access to city sewer, an Advanced Treatment Unit is almost certainly going to be your preferred solution.
  • If you live on land that does not percolate, your local regulator will not permit the installation of a septic tank and an ATU will be your most affordable alternative.
  • If you live on a small lot (in most Provinces or States, this means less than 3053m²) recent tightening of regulation means that permission to install a septic tank will probably be denied.

Bluewater units:

  • Can be installed in an area as small as 19m x 10m, subject to survey.
  • Will remove solids from wastewater up to 20 times faster than an old fashioned septic alternative. Can assist and accelerate huge reduction in nitrogen leached into the drain field.
  • May unblock a failed drain field. Provided the blockage in a drain field is not a rock or tree root, the effluent from an ATU can break down organic solids plugging the lines over a period of time - sometimes as little as six weeks, and can restore a drain field to ‘close to new’ performance.

We recently spoke to a developer in Indiana. He had bought a 89 hectares plot for development as a subdivision. Indiana State regulations prohibit use of septic tanks on lots smaller than 3035m² - but his business was dividing the site into individual building plots, installing services and selling on to custom home builders. After considering common areas, roads, pathways, woodland and lakes, using septic he could place just 90 homes on this site. Using our ATUs the yield increased to 160. This true life situation called for individual units for each homeowner. If the site is being developed with a mutual domestic, or for condos, time share/vacation homes or any other use where common sewerage may be beneficial, we can supply larger multi-unit systems which may operate in series or in parallel, depending on detail design, that will provide City Sewer quality effluent that can be both denitrified and, if necessary, disinfected, for communities of up to 500 people.

You will provide a better service to your custom home customer and make your job quicker at the same time due to ease of installation. Installing a Bluewater unit is very simple and can be done by only 2 people. There is a minimum of electrical connections, and a simple air hose to fit. This can be done in half a day! Bluewater Advanced Treatment Units also save you money because they require a drainfield that is 30% smaller than those mandated downstream of a septic tank. The drainfields themselves are simple to construct. Subject to confirmation that this design complies with your local regulation we recommend:

Short answer? Increased yield. Last year we spoke to a developer in Indiana. He had bought a 89 hectares plot for development as a sub-division. If the site is being developed with a mutual domestic, or for condos, time share/vacation homes or any other use where common sewerage may be beneficial, we can supply larger multi-unit systems which may operate in series or in parallel, depending on detail design, that will provide City Sewer quality effluent that can be both denitrified and, if necessary, disinfected (using a UV chamber) for communities of up to 500 people.
Two simple words - Cost Benefit. A Bluewater ATU is compact and lightweight, very simple to install and operate and very affordable. Once in the ground there are no moving parts to break, no complicated control panel to be programmed or adjusted, no wires to chaff and short, no internal pumps to clog and break, no pipes to back up inside the system, no internal stirring with vanes that can break off, no costly onsite fabrication work, no form works on site, no costly delivery and installation charges that exceed the value of the system and, we offer transparent pricing so the customer knows exactly what they are getting from the get go. It is a proven system that has been operating in Europe since 1992, with installations now as far afield as the U.S., Canada. UK, France, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Jamaica and the Honduras. The summary of our NSF results show that our performance significantly exceeds the listing requirements for NSF/ANSI Standard 40, Class 1. All an owner has to do is follow the simple routine in our servicing instructions after the initial two year service agreement has expired, or sign up for an extended service policy for complete peace of mind.
Bluewater can help you sell that property and do so with a GREEN product! A Bluewater system is for buyers who are looking for "Green" and environmentally friendly homes. How many times do you show a property with solar panels, heavily insulated walls and roof space, double or even triple pane windows, with a septic tank in the yard? In this day and age, its a no nonsense choice; and more and more people are becoming sufficiently knowledgeable and sophisticated to seek an affordable and greener alternative. We do not think we are overstating the case when we claim: "We're it."
